7 वी मध्ये असतानाच मी स्कॉउड गाइड ला ,9 वी ला MCC आणि कॉलेजला असताना NCC ला होते.  त्यामुळे मला लहानपणापासूनच वर्दीची खूप आवड होती. 10 वी मी 92% गुणासह उत्तीर्ण झाले आणि माझा नंबर सुद्धा आला होता.

त्यामुळे घरच्यांना हा विश्वास बसला की आता ही मुलगी आपल्या घराण्यात काहीतरी मोठ करून आपलं नाव लौकिक करेल. त्यांच्या तोंडून असे कौतुक ऐकून माझ्या आयुष्यांचा पुढील प्रवास हळू हळू सुरू झाला. शाळेत असताना विश्वास नांगरे पाटील IPS Vishwas Nangare Patil किंवा इंद्रजीत देशमुख Indrajit Deshmukh ज्यांना आपण काकाजी म्हणून ओळखतो असे मोठ मोठे अधिकारी व पदाधिकारी सतत शाळेत यायचे. अन मग त्यांचे विचार त्यांची भाषणे ऐकून मी खूपच प्रेरित व्हायचे.

एकदा मी माझ्या शिक्षकांना विचारल की हे अधिकारी नेमक कोण असतात ,त्यावर त्यांनी मला सांगितल की हे खूप मोठे अधिकारी असतात जे की अफाट मेहनतीने आणि जिद्दीने अभ्यास करून परीक्षेत उत्तीर्ण होतात अन प्रशासनात येऊन समाजाच्या व देशाच्या हितासाठी मोठ मोठ्या जबाबदाऱ्या स्वीकारून रात्रंदिवस तत्पर होऊन काम करतात.

शिक्षकांचे हे बोल माझ्या कानी पडताच त्याच क्षणी मी ठरवलं की आपली ओळख निर्माण करायची असेल तर आपणही असचं काहीतरी मोठ कार्य केलं पाहिजे कारण आयुष्य हे एकदाच आहे त्यामुळे ज्या गोष्टी आपल्याला आवडतात त्याच गोष्टींचा छंद आपण जोपासायचा आणि सकारात्मक नितीमत्तेने अमलात आणायचा. असा दृढ दृढ संकल्प मी माझ्या मनी बाळगला आणि त्या दिशेने माझी पावले उचलली.

लहानपणापासूनच आम्हां सर्व भावंडावरती चांगले संस्कार झाले आहेत. माझे वडील जे की प्रत्येक गावोगावी जाऊन घरगुती वस्तूंची विक्री करत असत आणि आलेल्या मोबदल्यातून आमचं शिक्षण आणि चार पैशांच कर्ज फेडता येईल इतक कमवायचे. मी असं म्हणणार नाही की आम्ही खूप गरीब होतो किंवा आम्ही खूप श्रीमंत होतो. ज्याप्रमाणे महाराष्ट्रातील अर्ध्या पेक्षा जास्त जनता खाऊन पिऊन सुखी असते त्याप्रमाणे आम्ही सुद्धा सुखी होतो.

माझ्या वडीलानी आम्हाला लहानपणापासून वाचनाची सवय लावली. कुठल्याही यात्रेत गेलं की खेळणी कमी अन वाचनाची पुस्तके जास्त प्रमाणात घेऊन द्यायचे. त्यामुळे त्याचाच एक सकारात्मक परिणाम आमच्या मनावरती झाला. माझ्या बालपणी टेलिविजन Television किंवा मोबाइल mobile यासारख्या गोष्टी नव्हत्या त्यामुळे आमच्या हातात सतत वेगवेगळी पुस्तके असायची.

एकदा वडीलानीं माझ्या वाढदिवसानिमित्त मला IAS मंत्रा हे पुस्तक भेट म्हणून दिलं. मी ते पुस्तक आवडीने वाचलं तेंव्हा मला जाणवलं की अधिकारी कोण असतात, त्यांची निवड कशी होते, त्यांची कार्ये किती मोठी असतात. माझ्या मनातील अनेक प्रश्नांची उत्तरे मला त्या पुस्तकात मिळाली. पुढे 11वी व 12 वी SCIENCE मधून केली, तेंव्हा जाणवलं की हे PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY तर आपल्याला काय झेपणार नाही आणि म्हणून मग मी 12 वी नंतर पुढे कला शाखेत प्रवेश केला आणि तेथूनच पदवीधर व पदव्युत्तर झाले.

2018 ला मी परीक्षेची तयारी सुरू केली आणि लगेच कोरोना आला त्यामध्ये भरपूर जणांचे प्राणही गेले आणि कोरोना ने बऱ्याच जणांची स्वप्ने ही हिरावून घेतली. त्याकाळात मी थोडा थोडा अभ्यास सुरू केला आणि त्याचाच फायदा मला 2023 च्या परीक्षेला झाला. कोरोना नंतर मी पुन्हा पुण्याला आले आणि तयारी सुरू केली. प्रिलिम्स prelims पास झाल्यानंतर फिजिकल physical साठी ग्राउंड ground वरती जाऊन मी तयारी करू लागले. त्या ग्राउंड वरती सर्व मुलांमध्ये मी एकटी मुलगी होते त्यांनी 4 राऊंड मारले तर मी 8 राऊंड मारत असायचे. संघर्ष तर भरपूर होता, प्रत्येकाच्याच जीवनात असतो परंतु मला वाटतं की आपल्या आवडीच्या गोष्टी जर का आपण केल्या तर आपल्या जीवनातील त्रास हा कमी होतो.

मी जो संघर्ष केला तो माझ्यासाठी केला, माझ्या घरच्यांसाठी केला, समाजासाठी व माझ्या देशासाठी केला. आज माझी निवड झाली म्हणून मी इथे आहे म्हणून का मग माझ्या सोबत तयारी करणाऱ्या बाकी लोकांचा संघर्ष कमी झाला का ? किंवा त्यांच ज्ञान कमी झाल का ? तस नाही. फक्त त्या रिजल्ट च्या लिस्ट मध्ये माझं नाव आलं म्हणून मी इथे आहे. स्त्रीत्व म्हणजे संघर्षाची एक प्रेरणा असते. मुलींनी स्वत:ला सिद्ध केल्याशिवाय तुमच्यावर कोणीच विश्वास ठेवणार नाही त्यामुळे जर का तुम्हाला पुरुषाप्रमाणे समानता पाहिजे असेल तर ती तुमच्या कामातुन तुम्ही दाखवली पाहिजे.

मुलाखती च्या शेवटी विद्यार्थ्यांना सल्ला देताना त्या म्हणतात की, तुम्ही स्वत:ला ओळखा आणि तुम्हाला जे क्षेत्र आवडतं तेच क्षेत्र निवडा आणि त्या क्षेत्रात मेहनत आणि जिद्दीने उत्तम आणि प्रतिभावंत व्हा. प्रत्येकाने आपल्या ध्येयाप्रती प्रामाणिक असणे खूप गरजेचे आहे. मनुष्य जीवन हे एकदाच आहे त्यामुळे कोणत्या गोष्टीला किती वेळ द्यायचा हे आपण ठरवलं पाहिजे. स्पर्धा परीक्षा क्षेत्रात येणाऱ्या प्रत्येकाला हे माहीत असणे गरजेचे आहे की, पोस्ट मिळणे हे साधन झालं परंतु साध्य हे वेगळं असलं पाहिजे. प्रशासनात आल्यानंतर समाजाप्रती एकतरी गोस्ट बदलण्यांच ध्येय प्रत्येकाने आपल्या मनी आंगीकारलं पाहिजे. MPSC आणि UPSC या दोन्ही आयोगात अजून कुठल्या कुठल्या नवीन पोस्ट असतात त्या तुम्ही माहिती करून घ्या. MPSC आणि UPSC चा प्रामाणिकपणे अभ्यास करणारा प्रत्येक विद्यार्थी लोक कल्याणासाठी जगाच्या पाठीवरती कोणताही बदल आणू शकतो इतकी प्रगाढ ज्ञानधारा त्या अभ्यासात असते त्यामुळे नेहमी सकारात्मक रहा.

लाहानपानसूनच मला भाषणाची व कवितेची आवड आहे त्यामुळे मी माझ्या निकालांतर स्वत:साठी एक कविता लिहिली होती ती तुमच्या समोर सादर करते,

नव्या दिशानां सामोरे जाण्या जरा नव्याने उभं टाक

काय मिळाले अन कसे मिळाले हिशोब आता करूच नयेस

मिळालेच्या अहंम पणाला खतपाणी घालूच नयेस

साध्य हे अंतिम नाही साध्याला साधन बनवायचे आहे

चालत रहा, तु दौडत रहा अजूनही शिकरस साथ देत आहे

याद राख थांबलास तर इंवलस साध्य गवसण्याने

अजूनही तुला फेडायचे आहे देह, देव अन देशाचे देणे……
