आणि ही महत्त्वाची जबाबदारी नोकिया ( NOKIA ) या कंपनीवर सोपवली आहे.

याची धुरा एका भारतीयाच्या हातात दिली असून निशांत बात्रा ( NISHANT BATRA ) असं त्यांचं नाव आहे.

दिल्लीतील एका मध्यम वर्गातील व्यवसायिक कुटुंबातील ते आहेत.

बात्रा यांचा जन्म दिल्लीत झाला असून त्यांनी इंदूर मधील देवी अहिल्या विद्यापीठातुन कंप्युटर ॲप्लिकेशनची ( COMPUTER APPICATION ) पदवी संपादन केली.

त्यानंतर त्यांनी इनसीड बिझनेस स्कूलमधून एमबीए ( MBA ) चं शिक्षण पुर्ण केलं

टेलिकम्युनिकेशनन्स अँड कम्प्युटर सायन्स ( TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND COMPUTER SCIENCE ) या विषयातील मास्टर्स

त्यांनी अमेरिकेतील सदर्न मेथडिस्ट विद्यापीठातून ( Southern Methodist University ) केलं.

फिनलँडच्या इस्पु मध्ये राहत असलेले निशांत बात्रा हे नोकिया या 22 युरोच्या कंपनी मध्ये ग्लोबल आणि टेक्नॉलॉजी हेड आहेत.

बेल लॅब्स ( BELL LABS ) मध्ये टेक्नॉलॉजी आणि रिसर्च ची जबाबदारी त्यांच्याकडे आहे.

या लॅबला नऊ पुरस्कार आणि पाच ट्युरिंक अवॉर्ड ( Turing Award ) मिळाले आहेत.

चंद्रावर 4G नेटवर्क सुरू व्हाव यासाठी निशांत बात्रा यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली सध्या काम सुरू आहे.

परग्रहावर 4G नेटवर्क स्थापित करण्याचा हा प्रयोग यशस्वी झाला तर रोबो किंवा अंतराळवीरांचा समावेश असणाऱ्या अन्य अंतराळ मोहिमा देखील पार पडणार आहेत.
