महाराष्ट्रातील दुसरी अशी व्यक्ती जी या पदावर आहे. मित्रांनो तुम्ही अनेक बातम्यांमधून ‘नॅक’ (NAAC) हे नाव ऐकलं असेल.

ही संस्था शैक्षणिक क्षेत्रामध्ये आपली महत्त्वाची भूमिका बजावत आहे. मग या संस्थेच काम कशा पद्धतीने चालतं याबद्दल जाणून घेऊयात.

नॅक म्हणजे नेमकं काय? ( WHAT IS NAAC? )

नॅक म्हणजेच नॅशनल असेसमेंट अँड अॅक्रिडीटेशन कौन्सिल.  ( NATIONAL ASSESSMENT AND ACCREDITATION COUNCIL)

मराठीत सांगायचं झालं तर राष्ट्रीय मूल्यांकन आणि मान्यता परिषद.

सध्याच्या घडीला सर्वच शिक्षण संस्थांसाठी नॅकची मान्यताप्राप्ती असणं अत्यंत आवश्यक आहे.

जर कुठल्या उच्च शिक्षण संस्थांना नॅकची मान्यताप्राप्ती नसेल तर ती संस्था सरकारच्या अनेक योजनांपासून वंचित राहते.

यावरून लक्षात येतं की नॅक किती महत्त्वाच आहे.

नॅकमार्फत देशातील साडेतीनशे पेक्षा जास्त विद्यापीठांच आणि सात हजारांपेक्षा जास्त कॉलेजच राष्ट्रीय मूल्यांकन केलं जातं.

नॅकच्या अध्यक्षपदी नेमणूक होणारे डॉक्टर पटवर्धन हे महाराष्ट्रातील दुसरे व्यक्ती ठरले आहेत.

आणि तब्बल सोळा वर्षांनंतर महाराष्ट्राला हा मान मिळालाय.

त्यामुळ शैक्षणिक क्षेत्रात आनंदाचं वातावरण आहे.

यूजीसीच्या (UGC) अध्यक्षपदी प्रा. जगदीश कुमार यांची नियुक्ती झाली. तेव्हापासून नॅकच अध्यक्षपद रिक्त होतं.

नॅकचे पहिले अध्यक्ष प्राध्यापक राम रेड्डी होते तर पहिले संचालक अरुण निगवेकर होते.

त्यानंतर प्राध्यापक राम ताकवले यांनी २००३ ते २००६ या कालावधीत नॅकचे अध्यक्षपद भूषवले होते.

या संस्थेची स्थापना १९९४ मध्ये करण्यात आली.

मूल्यांकन आणि मान्यता याच्या माध्यमातून कोणत्याही शैक्षणिक संस्थेचा दर्जा ,शैक्षणिक गुणवत्ता ओळखली जाते.

शिक्षणाच्या प्रक्रियेत संस्थेची असलेली कामगिरी ,अभ्यासक्रमाची निवड

आणि अंमलबजावणी, शैक्षणिक दर्जा आणि मूल्यमापन, विद्यार्थ्यांचे निकाल, संशोधन कार्य,

आर्थिक स्थिती आणि विद्यार्थी सेवा इत्यादी गोष्टींची नोंद नॅकच्या मार्फत होते.

२. उच्च शैक्षणिक संस्थांमध्ये अध्यापन शिक्षण आणि संशोधनाला प्रोत्साहन देण्यासाठी शैक्षणिक वातावरणाला प्रोत्साहन देणे.

३. उच्च शिक्षणात स्वयंमूल्यमापन नव कल्पनांना प्रोत्साहन देण्यासाठी दर्जेदार संशोधन अभ्यास आणि प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम घेणे.
