भारतातील विद्यार्थी युक्रेनमध्ये का जातात?

युक्रेन-रशियाच्या युद्धाला ( russia ukraine war )आज आठ दिवस झालेत. आठ दिवसात किती नुकसान झालंय याचा निश्चित आकडा कुणालाच माहित नाही.

सध्या रशिया-युक्रेन मध्ये चालू असलेल्या युद्धाच्या झळा या जागतिक पातळीवर सर्वांना जाणवत आहेत.

अशातच उच्च शिक्षणासाठी आपल्या देशातील हजारोंच्या संख्येने गेलेले विद्यार्थी युक्रेन मध्ये अडकले असल्याच्या बातम्या आपण रोज पाहतोय.

मग भारतातील विद्यार्थी एवढ्या मोठ्या संख्येने युक्रेनमध्ये का जातात याचे कारण जाणून घेऊया या लेखातून.

भारतातील हजारोंच्या संख्येने विद्यार्थी युक्रेनमध्ये अभियांत्रिकी ( Engineering )आणि वैद्यकीय ( Medical ) शिक्षणासाठी जात असतात.

विशेषतः एमबीबीएस ( MBBS ) पदवी घेण्यासाठी हे विद्यार्थी युक्रेन का निवडतात??

तर भारतात वैद्यकीय सरकारी महाविद्यालयांची संख्या कमी आहे.

भारतात बारावी नंतर नीट ( NEET ) म्हणजेच नॅशनल एलिजिबिलिटी एन्ट्रन्स टेस्ट ( National Eligibility Entrance Test )द्यावी लागते. त्यानंतर गुणवत्ता यादी जाहीर होते.

परंतु ही परीक्षा देणारे सर्वच विद्यार्थी प्रवेशासाठी पात्र ठरत नाहीत.

विद्यार्थ्यांच्या संख्येच्या तुलनेत प्रवेशाच्या जागा अत्यंत कमी असतात आणि त्यातूनही सरकारी कॉलेज कमी आहेत.

त्यामुळे या विद्यार्थ्यांना युक्रेन मध्ये जाऊन पदवी घेणे सोयीचं वाटतं.

विद्यार्थ्यांनी वैद्यकीय पदवीसाठी युक्रेन निवडण्याची अशी बरीच कारणे आहेत.

महाराष्ट्र वैद्यकीय शिक्षण संचालनालयाच्या माजी संचालकांनी सांगितलं होतं की दरवर्षी वैद्यकीय शिक्षणाच्या प्रवेशासाठी जवळपास १५ लाख विद्यार्थी परीक्षा देतात.

मात्र प्रवेशाच्या जागा या एक लाखाच्या आसपास असतात आणि म्हणून उरलेले विद्यार्थी युक्रेनमध्ये जाऊन ही पदवी घेतात.

भारतामध्ये सरकारी वैद्यकीय कॉलेज कमी आहेत आणि खाजगी कॉलेजमध्ये असणारी फी सर्वसामान्य विद्यार्थ्यांना परवडत नाही.

मग अशावेळी विद्यार्थ्यांना युक्रेन मध्ये जाऊन ही पदवी घेणं हे खर्चाच्या दृष्टीने परवडणार वाटत.

भारतात परत आल्यावर त्यांना एफएमजी ( FMG )म्हणजेच फॉरेन मेडिकल ग्रॅज्युएट एक्झाम ( Foreign Medical Graduate Exam ) द्यावी लागते.

ही परीक्षा पास झाल्यावरच त्यांना भारतात डॉक्टर ( Doctor )म्हणून परवाना मिळतो.

भारताच्या तुलनेत मध्ये वैद्यकीय शिक्षणासाठी जास्त जागा आहेत आणि फी देखील कमी आहे.

वैद्यकीय पदवी शिक्षणाचा भारतात होणारा खर्च हा जवळपास ६० लाखांहून अधिक आहे.

मात्र युक्रेनमध्ये १५ ते २२ लाखात पदवी शिक्षण पूर्ण होते.

त्याबरोबरच भारतीय वैद्यकीय पदवीला जागतिक मान्यता नाही.

परंतु युक्रेनमध्ये असलेल्या ते ३३ वैद्यकीय महाविद्यालयांच्या पदवीला वर्ल्ड हेल्थ कौन्सिलची ( World Health Council )मान्यता आहे.

त्यामुळे विद्यार्थ्यांना भारतासह जगात कुठेही प्रॅक्टिस करण्याची परवानगी मिळते.

देशातील सर्वच नागरिक अडकलेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांच्या परतीच्या वाटेकडे डोळे लावून बसलेले आहेत.

भारत सरकारच्या ‘मिशन गंगा’ या मोहिमेला यश येवो व सर्व विद्यार्थी सुखरूप मायदेशी परत येवो हीच प्रार्थना.
