स्पर्धा परीक्षा मायाजाल नक्कीच नाही….

अलीकडेच स्वप्निल लोणकर या स्पर्धा परीक्षा करण्याऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी आत्महत्या केली. आणि परत एकदा स्पर्धा परीक्षा विषयांवर चर्चा सुरू झाली. ताणतणाव, मानसिक आरोग्य, यावर मग अनेक जण आपापल्या परीने विचार मांडू लागले. परंतु यावेळी एक गोष्ट वेगळी घडली.. सोशल मिडियावर स्पर्धा परीक्षा विषयी स्वप्न दाखवण्या अनेक जणांवर अपयशाचे खापर फोडण्यात आले.. यात विश्वास नांगरे पाटील आघाडीवर होते.. अनेक जणांनी सांगितले की यांनी आम्हाला स्पर्धा परीक्षा करण्यासाठी प्रेरित केलं.. प्रेरणादायी भाषणे दिलीत, आमच्या मनात स्पर्धा परीक्षा विषयी वारे सुरू केलेत. स्वप्ने दाखवलीत.. मग आम्ही स्पर्धा परीक्षा करू लागलो.. आता भरती निघत नाही, निवड होऊनही नियुक्त्या मिळाल्या नाहीत, आरक्षणाचा मुद्दाच आहेच, परीक्षा होत नाहीत. असे अनेक मुद्दे मुलांनी मांडलेत.. आणि ते सगळे दोष या लोकांना देऊन मोकळे झालेत.. परंतु मुद्दा अजूनही तसाच जिंवत राहिला आहे.. त्यासाठी एक उदाहरण घेऊ. की कोणी विहिरीत उडी मारायला सांगितलं तर आपण लगेचच मारू का..? थोडा विचार करू,की विहिरीत बुडून मृत्यू तर होणार नाही ना..? स्पर्धा परीक्षेचा मुद्दा पण असाच आहे.. कोणी सांगितलं आणि लगेच आपण स्पर्धा परीक्षा सुरू करू.. असं कसंकाय चालणार.. पुढे आपण देशाचे भावी अधिकारी बनणार आहोत. मोठमोठ्या संकटातून मार्ग काढणार आहोत.. मग स्पर्धा परीक्षा करणारा विद्यार्थी असा अचानकपणे सांगूच कसा शकणार की, माझं या या माणसांनामुळे नूकसान झालं आहे.. मुळात ज्यांनी खरोखरच मेहनत घेतली नाही.. स्पर्धा परीक्षा करून निव्वळ टाईमपास केला त्या विद्यार्थ्यांनाच्या तोंडून असं ऐकायला मिळणार, याची मी खात्री देतो.. कारण जो मनापासून स्पर्धा परीक्षेचा अभ्यास करतो तो कधीच असा दुसऱ्यांनावर दोष देत बसणार नाही.. याचा मला खूप अनुभव आला आहे.. मुळात स्पर्धा परीक्षा जगायला शिकवते.. आणि मनापासून ती जगली तर पुढे स्पर्धा परीक्षेमध्ये नाही यशस्वी होता, आलं तरी जीवनात आपण यशस्वी व्हालं.. याच उत्तम उदाहरण माझं स्वतः च देता येईल..

योग्य मार्गदर्शन, कठीण मेहनत, स्पर्धा परीक्षेच वास्तव, स्वतःच्या क्षमता, आणि जिद्द असेल तर स्पर्धा परीक्षेत यशस्वी होता येतं.. परंतु या गोष्टीना प्राधान्य दिलं नाही तर अपयशाला समोरे जावे लागते.. परंतु आपल्या क्षमता ओळखून आपल्याला कुठपर्यंत थांबायचं आणि पुढे हे जर झालं नाही तर काय करता येईल, याचा सखोल स्वत:चं आत्मचिंतन असेल तर जीवनात दुसरा मार्ग निवडण्यात काही हरकत नाही.. अशीच काहीशी माझी स्टोरी जी तुम्हाला नवीन विचार, नवीन मार्ग व स्वतःच्या क्षमता ओळखण्यास मदत करील..

नववीच्या वर्गात एका सरांनी स्पर्धा परीक्षाविषयी असं सांगितलं होतं की, पुढे तुम्हाला MPSC, आणि UPSC परीक्षा देता आली तर द्या… ती परीक्षा पास झाल्यावर तुम्हाला कलेक्टर बनता येईल… मग तुम्हाला लाल दिव्याची गाडी, मोठा बंगला, आणि लोकांसाठी काम करायला मिळंत. ते वर्ष होतं २०११. समाजासाठी काम करण्याची इच्छा माझी होतीच, मग मी ठरवलं. की पुढे आपण ही परीक्षा द्यायला हवी…त्याच्याच पुढच्या आठवड्यात आमच्या शाळेतील शिक्षकांच्या बदल्या झाल्या नि वर्गात नवीन शिक्षक आलेत… त्यांनी त्यांची ओळख करून दिली. मग आम्हाला सांगितले की तुमच नाव, छंद, आणि तुम्हाला काय बनायचं आहे ते सांगा.. मी शेवटून दुसऱ्या बाकावर बसलो होतो.. सुरूवातीपासून मुलं सांगत आली की मला डॉक्टर, शिक्षक, इंजिनिअर बनायचं आहे. सगळ्यांची अशीच प्रतिक्रिया ऐकून शिक्षकही थोडे निराश झाले होते.. माझा नंबर आला आणि मी माझं नाव सांगून मला विचारलं की तुला काय बनायचं आहे.. मी एकदमच उत्तरलो… की मला मोठं होऊन कलेक्टर बनायचंय.. त्यांनी विचारलं की तुला कलेक्टर का बनायचंय.. सगळ्या मुलांना तर शिक्षक, डॉक्टर, इंजिनिअर बनायचं आहे.. मी म्हणलो की, मला लोकांसाठी काही तरी करायचं आहे. आणि कलेक्टर झाल्यानंतर लाल दिव्याची गाडी मिळते त्यात मला बसायचं आहे. म्हणून मला मोठ होऊन कलेक्टर व्हायचं आहे.. हे उत्तर ऐकून तेही अवाकच झाले. नंतर त्यांनी मला विचारलं की तुला काय काय आवडतं…? त्यावर मी म्हणलो की सर मला वाचायला खूप आवडतं.. सायकल चालवयाला आवडते. पोहायला आवडतं, फिरायला आवडतं.. अजून खूप काही करायला आवडतं… एवढं सांगून शिक्षकांनाही बंर वाटलं.. त्यांनी विचार केला की हा पोरगा नक्कीच पुढे काही तरी करणार.. काही दिवसांनी सरांनाकडून स्पर्धा परीक्षा विषयी अधिक माहिती जाणून घेतली यात परीक्षा कशी असते.. परीक्षेत काय काय विचारलं जातं…. परीक्षा कधी होते.. यावर सरांनी मला इतकचं सांगितलं होतं की, जे आपण सद्या शिकतोय तेच परीक्षेला विचारलं जातं.. म्हणजे भूगोल, इतिहास, विज्ञान, राज्यशास्त्र असेच विषय असतात.. तेव्हा मी नववीला होतो. तुला जर हे करायचं असेल तर अकरावीला तु आर्ट घे..म्हणजेच तेच विषय तुला पुढे कामं येतील.. दहावी पर्यंतच ती शाळा असल्याने दुसऱ्या शाळेत जाणं मला भाग होतं.. परंतु एक अडचण तेव्हा आली.. मला दहावीला ८१ टक्के पडलेत..आणि पुढे जाऊन आर्टस घ्यायाचं होतं.. परंतु गावातील काही लोकांनी वडिलांना समजवलं की चांगले टक्के पडलेत.. पोराला सायन्सला टाक.. आर्ट्सला काही किंमत नाही आहे.. यावर वडिलांना मी समजून सांगितलं, तरी वडील काही ऐकेना.. शेवटी मी सायन्सला अडमिशन घेतलं..शाळेत सगळं काही ठिक चाललं होतं.. अभ्यासक्रम व्यतिरिक्त मला इतर पुस्तके वाचण्याची खूप आवड.. मी त्यावेळेस श्यामची आई, चोरटा ,क्रांती अशी पुस्तके वाचली होती. होस्टेलच्या ग्रंथालयातील जवळ जवळ सगळ्याच पुस्तकांना माझ्या हाताचा स्पर्श लागला होता.. त्याच होस्टेलमध्ये एका दिवशी “गरूडझेप” पुस्तकाची खूप चर्चा मुलं करीत होते.. तेव्हा नाशिकचेच भरत आंधळे युपीएससी पास झाले होते. आणि त्यांचा संघर्ष त्यांनी त्या पुस्तकात मांडला होता.. ते पुस्तक वाचण्यासाठी त्यावेळेस मला किती संघर्ष करावा लागला होता, ते मी माझ्या ब्लॉगवर लिहिलं आहे.. ते वाचून माझ्या डोक्यात एकदमच ट्यूब पेटली होती.. आणि भरत आंधळे सरांचा मी खूप मोठा फँन होऊन गेलो.. मला अक्षरशः झोप लागत नव्हती.. त्यांच्या पुस्तकांमधली एक एक लाईन मी माझ्या मनात कोरून ठेवली होती.. त्यातच त्यांचा पुणे विद्यापीठातील संघर्ष अधिकच भावला होता.. मी मनात पक्क ठरवलं होतं की, पुढे आपल्याला पुणे विद्यापीठातच जायचं आहे.. मग बारावीची परीक्षा पास झालो, परंतु अजून मला स्पर्धा परीक्षेविषयी पुरेशी माहिती नव्हती. मला हे पण माहिती नव्हतं की स्पर्धा परीक्षेची पुस्तकं कशी असतात..?

तेरावीला माझं नाशिकमधील पी. व्ही.जी. कॉलेजमध्ये बी.ए. ला अडमिशन झालं… तेव्हा मग होस्टेलचा फार्म भरण्यासाठी आरटीओ कार्नेरच्या सायबर कँफेमध्ये गेलो.. तिथे मुलांची खूप गर्दी होती. मी आत खुर्चीवर जाऊन बसलो .. तेव्हा मी एकटाच होतो.. माझ्या सोबत कुणीच नव्हतं.. आणि तिथे अचानक दोन तीन मुलं आलीत.. आणि ते स्पर्धा परीक्षा विषयी चर्चा करू लागलीत.. त्यांच्या हातात काही पुस्तके होती. मी त्यांना म बघितलं अन् माझी नजर त्याच्या हातात असलेल्या पुस्तकांवर गेली.. हातात असलेल्या त्यांच्या पुस्तकाच्या मुखपृष्ठावर मोटारसायकलवर बसलेल्या खाकी वर्दीतल्या अधिकाऱ्यावर गेली.. आणि वरती लिहिलं होतं की, फौजदार यशोमार्ग.. ते पुस्तक होतं महाराष्ट्रातून प्रथम येणाऱ्या प्रकाश गायकवाड याचं.. मी पहिल्यांदा स्पर्धा परिक्षेचं पुस्तके तेव्हा पाहिलं होतं. ते जाड आणि मोठ पुस्तक पाहून मनात थोडा वेगळा विचार आला. पण भरत आंधळे सरांचा संघर्ष माझ्या डोळ्यात अजूनही तररात असल्याने माझा स्पर्धा परीक्षा करण्याचा निर्धार अजून पक्का झाला.

२०१५ चा तेरावीचा एक वर्ष असाच स्पर्धा परीक्षा अभ्यासाविनास गेला.. पण पुढे आमच्या होस्टेलमध्ये रोडे सर आलेत.. त्यांनी आम्हाला स्पर्धा परीक्षा विषयी माहिती सांगितली.. आणि ते म्हणाले की मी तुम्हाला मार्गदर्शन करेन…तेव्हा मी नाशिकमधील अमृतधाम होस्टेलवर राहत होतो.. त्या होस्टेलमधील पंधरा ते वीस मुलं तयार झालीत.. आणि मग रोडे सरांनी बिडी कामगारनगरमध्ये ध्येय स्पर्धा परीक्षा अँकडमी सुरू केली. फि पण जेमतेम कमीच होती. फक्त २००० रूपये. तेव्हा तिथे स्पर्धा परीक्षा विषयी माहिती, गणित, इंग्रजी, आणि मराठी व्याकरण व जनरल नाँलेज विषयी मार्गदर्शन मिळालं.. सरांच्या सल्ल्याने व युट्यूबवरील विडिओ प्रमाणे तेव्हा मी स्पर्धा परीक्षेची काही पुस्तकं विकत घेतली.. त्यात मराठी व्याकरणसाठी मो.रा. वाळिंबे. नितीन महालेचं मँजिक आँफ मँथ्य, बाळासाहेब शिंदे, इंग्रजी व्याकरण. आणि प्रकाश गायकवाड यांचा फौजदार यशोमार्ग ठोकळा.. तेव्हा मी चौदावीला शिक्षण घेत होतो.. पंचवटी कॉलेजला अडमिशन घेऊन मी संत ज्ञानेश्वर ग्रंथालयात अभ्यास करण्यासाठी जात असे.. काही महिन्यानंतर रोडे सरांची ध्येय स्पर्धा परीक्षा अँकडमी बंद पडली. मग आम्ही ग्रंथालयातच अभ्यास करायला जाऊ लागलो.. मला स्पर्धा परीक्षेचा असा वेड लागला होता की माझं आयुष्य आऊट आँफ कंट्रोलच्या बाहेर गेलं होतं.. मला कशाचच भान राहिलं नव्हतं… ग्रंथालयात अभ्यास कमी पण इतर गोष्टी जास्त प्रमाणात होऊ लागल्या.. युट्यूबवर भरत आंधळे सरांचे भाषणे पाहू लागलो… एखाद्या परीक्षेचा निकाल जाहीर का यशस्वी अधिकारांची भाषणे युट्यूबवर बघू लागलो.. यात युनिक अँकडमीची भाषणे मी दिवसांतून चार ते पाच तरी बघत असायचो… नाशिकमधील सरकार अँकडमी, अस्तित्व अँकडमी, महाकवी कलीदास काला मंदिर सभागृह असो की परशुराम सायखेडकर सभागृह.. इथे मोफत होण्याऱ्या सगळ्या अधिकारांची भाषणं मी ऐकायला जात असे.. स्पर्धा परीक्षेच खूळ इतकं डोक्यात भरलं होतं. की मी जेव्हा अभ्यास करीत असे… तेव्हा रात्री तर सोडाच दिवसा पण मला लाल दिव्याच्या गाडीचं स्वप्न पडत असे… जेव्हा केव्हा पुस्तक हातात पडे तेव्हा सुद्धा मी वाचायचं सोडून अधिकारी झाल्याची कल्पना करीत बसे.. माझ्या डोक्यात, मनात सतत तेच तेच विचार येत असे.. दिवसाभरातून माझा एक टक्का ही कधी कधी तर अभ्यास होत नसे.. निव्वळ मनात कल्पना करीत बसे… की अधिकारी झाल्यानंतर मी काय काय करेन.. कुठे कुठे फिरेन.. हे तर जाऊद्या त्या काळी मी अधिकारी झाल्यानंतर भाषण काय देणार. त्याचा पण उतारा माझ्या डोक्यात तयार करून ठेवला होता.. अभ्यासासाठी पहाटे तीन वाजता उठणे.. झोप न येऊ म्हणून थंड पाण्यात अंघोळ करणे.. रनिंग साठी जाणे, व्यायाम करणे, मग सकाळी भरपेट नाष्टा खाऊन साडेसातच्या सुमारास डब्बा घेऊन सायकलने ग्रंथालयात जाणे. युट्यूबवरील मनोहर भोळे सरांच्या मार्गदर्शननुसार वेळापत्रकाप्रमाणे सकाळी सामान्य अध्यायन पेपरचा अभ्यास करणे. साडेबारा वाजता दुपारचा जेवण, मग थोडी झोप, त्यानंतर सी-सँट पाच वाजता थोडसं बाहेर येणे.. मग मराठी व्याकरण, इंग्रजी व्याकरण करणे..असा काहीसा दिनक्रम ठरला होता.. अपुरी झोप, व्यायाम, भरपेट नाष्टा, यामुळे अभ्यास फक्त पाच ते सहा टक्के तेही सांयकाळी चार ते पाच दरम्यानच्या वेळेचा होत होता.. झोप पुर्ण घेत नसल्याने डोळे माझे सतत लाल दिसत असे.. मग मी दुसऱ्यारांच्या डोळ्यांनाकडे बघत असायचो.. आणि मनातल्या मनात स्वतःला शाबासकी द्यायाचो.. ती यासाठी की मी, यांच्या पेक्षा जास्त वेळ अभ्यास करतो म्हणून. पण यात माझा किती टक्के अभ्यास होतो, याची काहीच कल्पना मला येत नव्हती.. सकाळी साडेसात ते रात्री आठ ते नऊ पर्यंत तसेच पहाटे.. असा अभ्यासाचा टाईम होता.. परंतु यात युट्यूबवर प्रेरणादायी भाषणे ऐकाण्यातच रस होता. प्रत्येक विषयाची पुस्तके मी त्यावेळेस वाचून काढली. राज्यशास्त्र, अर्थशास्त्र, इतिहास, विज्ञान, भूगोल, चालू घडामोडी, गणित अशी जवळपास मनोहर भोळे यांनी सांगितलेली अशीच वाचून काढली होती. त्या दरम्यान परीक्षाही मी देत होतो. २०१५ ते २०१७ या दरम्यान मी जेमतेम दोन राज्यसेवा, पोलीस उपनिरीक्षक, कर सहाय्यक, सात ते आठ सरळसेवा, बँकींग, पोलीस भरती, म्हणजे ज्या परीक्षा होत होत्या त्या सगळ्याच दिल्या. परंतु एका परीक्षेतही पास झालो नाही. असं कोणत्याच परीक्षेचं टार्गेट ठरवलं नव्हतं. ज्या येत होत्या त्या देत होतो.

एस.वाय. बी.ए. ची परीक्षा दिली. आणि मग पुणे विद्यापीठातली अर्थशास्त्र विभागात प्रवेश परीक्षेची तयारी करू लागलो. ती पास होऊन माझा नंबर पुणे विद्यापीठात लागला. या बद्दल ही सविस्तर माझ्या ब्लॉगवर लिहिलंय. मी मराठी माध्यमाचा विद्यार्थी असल्याने तिथे अचानक इंग्रजी भाषा ऐकायला मिळू लागली अन् माझी फजिती होत गेली. पण मी फक्त स्पर्धा परीक्षा करण्यासाठी विद्यापीठात आलो आहे. असं स्वतः ला समजून सांगितलं… काही झालं तरी विद्यापीठ सोडायचं नाही. असा मनातल्या मनात मी प्रण घेतला. आणि नव्या संघर्षांचा सामना करण्यासाठी सज्ज झालो.. सकाळी सहा ते नऊपर्यंत कमवा व शिका योजनेत काम. मग अकरा ते सांयकाळी चार पर्यंत अर्थशास्त्राचे लेक्चर. मग चार ते सहा पर्यंत रेमिडिअल लेक्चर. सात ते साडेसात पर्यंत पेपर वाचणे. अर्धा तास रात्रीचं जेवण करणे, आणि रात्री आठ पासून ते बारा पर्यंत स्पर्धा परीक्षेचा अभ्यास करून होस्टलवर रात्री एक कि.मी पायी चालून येणे. आणि सकाळी परत पहाटे पाच वाजता उठणे.. असा दिनक्रम विद्यापीठात होता..

अर्थशास्त्र विभागात सुरूवातीला इंग्रजी झेपली नाही म्हणून पहिल्या दोन ते तीन आठवड्यात काही मुलं विभाग सोडून गेलीत. जे मुलं स्पर्धा परीक्षा करीत होती ते पण डिपार्टमेंट सोडून निघून गेली.. त्यात आम्ही स्पर्धा परीक्षा आणि डिपार्टमेंट करणारे जेमतेम दहा ते बारा मुलं होतो.. त्यातूनही काही मुलांनी स्पर्धा परीक्षा सोडून डिपार्टमेंट करायला सुरुवात केली. मग स्पर्धा परीक्षा आणि डिपार्टमेंट हे दोन्ही करणारे आम्ही फक्त दोघं तिघेच उरलो होतो..

मँडम काय शिकवत आहेत ते काहीच कळत नव्हतं. कारण इंग्रजी भाषेची बोंब अगोदरच होती. दुपारी जेवण झाल्यानंतर आणि झोप अपुरी असल्याने व आणि इंग्रजीत शिकवल्याने लेक्चरमध्ये काय चाललंय ते काहीच समजत नसल्याने माझं पुर्ण लक्ष खिडकीच्या बाहेर असायचं.. मग ठरवलं की अगोदर मला इंग्रजी भाषा शिकली पाहिजे. मग त्यासाठी विद्यापीठात मोफत इंग्रजी भाषा शिकवणी वर्गाला जाऊ लागलो. मग पेपर वाचणे, इंग्रजी गाणे, चित्रपट, भाषणे, आणि मुलाखती बघणे असा कार्यक्रम आखला.. डिपार्टमेंट आम्हाला काहींना काही काम करायला सांगतच असे. यात आसनमेंट, प्रेझेंटेशन, प्रोजेक्ट, यात मी अडकून जात असो.. त्यात इंग्रजी येत नसल्याने आणखीच हाल होत असे. त्यामुळे स्पर्धा परीक्षाकडे माझं दुर्लक्ष होत गेलं.. फक्त शनिवारी आणि रविवारी स्पर्धा परीक्षेचा अभ्यास करण्यासाठी वेळ मिळत असे.

जयकर ग्रंथालयात अभ्यास करण्यासाठी जेव्हा जात होतो. तेव्हा आजूबाजूला स्पर्धा परीक्षा करणाऱ्या मुलांनाकडे बघून स्वतःला दोष देत बसे.. ते पोर दिवस रात्र अभ्यास करीत होते.. मग मला वाटायचं की आपलं तर काहीच अभ्यास होत नाही. मग आपलं कसं होणार.. याच चिंतेत मला थोडा फार ताण येत गेला.. मग मी भरत आंधळेच्या पुस्तकात वर्णन केलेल्या गोष्टी आठवून विद्यापीठात्या त्या ठिकाणी जाऊ लागलो.. थोडसं रडू पण यायचं.. पण काही ही झालं तरी विद्यापीठ सोडायचं नाही.. या अटीवर मी ठाम राहिलो..

विद्यापीठात जेव्हा केव्हा स्पर्धा परीक्षेचा निकाल जाहीर व्हायचा तेव्हा कोणीतरी त्यामधून सिलेक्ट व्हायचाच.. मग मी त्याच्याकडे जाऊन अधिक माहिती घेत असे.. मी मित्र पण असे बनविले होते की, जे राज्य सेवेची पुर्व परीक्षा पास, मुख्य परीक्षेला बसलेले, तसेच इतर परीक्षेत पास झालेले असे होते.. मग त्यांच्या चर्चेत सहभागी होत असल्याने मला स्पर्धा परीक्षेविषयी खूप माहिती मिळाली.. पण डिपार्टमेंट मधील ताण आणि या मुलांनाकडे बघून मी तणावात निघून गेलो.. माझं जगणं मुश्कील होऊन गेलं होतं.. आठवड्यात मी आजारी पडायला लागलो..माझं डोकं सतत गरम पडत असे. जास्त तणाव घेतल्याने माझं डोकं दुखणे, ताप येणे, सर्दी , खोकला, असा चालू होता. या आठवड्यात बरा झालो की पुढच्या आठवड्यात आजारी पडलोच समजा. हा ताण इतका वाढला होता की, मनात आत्महत्या करण्यापलीकडेचे विचार सुरू झालेत..

पहिल्या सेमिस्टरमध्ये दोन विषय राहिले.. अन् बाकी दोन विषय काठावर पास झालो होतो.. डिसेंबर महिना पुर्ण सुट्टीचा असल्याने स्पर्धा परीक्षेच्या अभ्यासासाठी वेळ मिळत असे.. नंतर मग असाच डिपार्टमेंटचा शेड्युल असल्याने स्पर्धा परिक्षेचा अभ्यास करावा लागत असे.. दुसऱ्या सेमिस्टरमध्ये पण माझे विषय राहिलेत.. आणि पाहता पाहता विद्यापीठात मला एक वर्ष पुर्ण झालं.. आता मात्र मला स्पर्धा परीक्षा करण्यासाठी खूप जास्त वेळ मिळाला..मी डिपार्टमेंटचे पेपर देऊन तिथेच राहिलो.. अभ्यासक्रम, अभ्यास कसा करावा, पेपर कसा सोडवावा, वेळचे गणित, अशा स्पर्धा परीक्षेविषयी बारीक बारीक गोष्टी मित्रांकडून माहिती करून घेतल्या.. ग्रूपमध्ये चर्चा करू लागलो.. मागच्या एका वर्षाचा अभ्यास या दोन ते तीन महिन्यांतच मी केला..परंतु थोडा ताणतणाव डोक्यावर होतोच.. राज्य सेवेची परीक्षा दिली.. परंतु खूप कमी स्कोर आला. कंबाइनची पण परीक्षा दिली. अजून भरपूर परीक्षा दिल्यात परंतु एकही परीक्षेचा निकाल सकारात्मक लागला नाही.. काही दिवसांनी अजून डिपार्टमेंट सुरू झालं.. आणि अजून तेच शेड्युल फॉलो करू लागलो.. थोडा अधिक ताण येत होताच. मध्यंतरी आजारी पडण्याचं पण प्रमाण वाढू लागलं..दिवसेंदिवस माझ्या डोक्यावरचा ताण वाढत गेला.. मग मी इगतपुरी येथे आँगस्ट महिन्यात मेडिटेशनसाठी (ध्यानधारणा) निघून गेलो.. दहा दिवसाच्या मेडिटेशनं मला नवीन जीवन दिलं.. मी दररोज सकाळी आणि सायंकाळी मेडिटेशनं करू लागलो.. थोडासा ताण कमी झाला..पण माझ्या हातून स्पर्धा परीक्षा पुर्णपणे निसटून गेली होती.. दुसऱ्या सेमिस्टरमध्ये पण माझे विषय राहिलेत.. आणि विद्यापीठात मला एक वर्ष पुर्ण झाले.. दुसऱ्या वर्षाला अँडमीशन घेतलं.. मध्यंतरी मला कविता लिहिण्याची खूप सवय झाली होती.. लिखाण पण अधूनमधून करीत असे… रात्री जेव्हा मी ग्रंथालयामधून होस्टेलकडे येत असे..तेव्हा मधल्या रस्त्यात मी कविता लिहित असे.. म्हणजे ग्रंथालयपासून ते होस्टल पर्यंत माझी एक कविता लिहून पुर्ण होत असे.. स्पर्धा परीक्षेचा अभ्यास करण्याचा मला आता खूप कंटाळा येऊ लागला.. मग मी जयकर ग्रंथालयातील इतर साहित्य, मासिके वाचू लागलो.. अर्थशास्त्राचा अभ्यास, थोडा अधिक स्पर्धा परीक्षेचा अभ्यास आणि जास्त प्रमाणात इतर वाचन करण्यासाठी वेळ देऊ लागलो.. जेव्हा केव्हा मी कविता अथवा एखादा लेख लिहित असे.. तेव्हा मला एकदम छान आणि मस्त वाटे.. मग माझा ओढा जास्त करून इतर साहित्य वाचण्यात आणि लिहिण्यात जाऊ लागला.. दुसऱ्या वर्षाचे पेपर दिले.. निकाल ही लागला.. त्यात काठावर पास झालो..यात मी नेटच्या परीक्षेची सुद्धा पात्रता ओलांडू शकलो नाही..

मग पुढच्या वर्षांच गणित आखू लागलो. विचार केला की अजून एक वर्षे विद्यापीठात राहु आणि स्पर्धा परीक्षेचा अभ्यास करू.. त्यासाठी मी संस्कृत, इतिहास, आणि पत्रकारिता या विषयाच्या प्रवेश परीक्षेसाठी अर्ज केला.. यात माझा संस्कृत, आणि पत्रकारिता विषयामध्ये नंबर लागला. आणि होस्टल मिळावं म्हणून मी पत्रकारिता या विषयामध्ये अडमिशन घेतलं..

पत्रकारिता हा विभाग एप. सी.रोडवर असल्याने मला विद्यापीठामधून वीस ते तीस रूपये खर्चून जायचं होतं.. या विभागात अगोदरच चेतावणी दिली होती की लेक्चरला आलं नाही तर होस्टेल काढून घेण्यात येईल.. त्यामुळे मी रोज लेक्चरला येऊ लागलो.. लिहण्याची आवड, आणि नोकरीची शंभर टक्के खात्री असल्याने मला हे डिपार्टमेंट आवडू लागले.. आता माझ्या पुढे पत्रकारिता की स्पर्धा परीक्षा असा पेचप्रसंग निर्माण झाला.. जवळपास मी एक महिना यावर विचार केला.. अर्थशास्त्रचा विद्यार्थी असल्याने आर्थिक बाजू समजून घेतल्या.. स्वतःच्या क्षमता ओळखल्या… माझा भूतकाळ आठवला.. त्याच बरोबर भविष्याचापण विचार केला.. मागिल स्पर्धा परीक्षा किती दिल्या आणि त्याचा निकाल आठवला.. स्वतः विषयी चिंतन मनन केलं.. मनाच्या आत जाऊन विचार केला.. स्पर्धा परीक्षेचे वास्तव, आणि ही स्पर्धा आपल्याला झेपील का याचा दिर्घ विचार केला.. त्यानंतर मग पत्रकारिता क्षेत्राचा अभ्यास सुरू केला.. यातील संधीचा शोध घेतला.. या क्षेत्रात पुढे मला काय काय करता येईल याचा सुक्ष्म पद्धतीने अभ्यास केला.. याविषयी मी शिक्षकांशी बोललो.. स्वतः शी बोललो..सकारात्मक नकारात्मक विचारांशी लढलो.. आणि मग ठरवलं की आता पत्रकारिता करायचं..

स्पर्धा परीक्षा सोडली अन् माझ्या डोक्यावरचा ताण हलका झाला.. नेहमी चिंतेत असणारा माझा चेहरा फुलला.. आजारी पडण्याचे प्रमाण कमी होऊ लागले.. मी आता बिनधास्तपणे जगू लागलो.. जीवनात कशाचच टेन्शन उरलं नाही.. मित्रांसोबत पत्रकारिता विभागात मोटारसायकल वरून जायचो.. जेव्हा मी मोटारसायकल वर मागे बसत असे तेव्हा मी कधी कधी दोन्ही हात बाजूला करीत आभाळात मुक्त संचार करीत असणाऱ्या पक्षांसारखा आनंद घेऊ लागलो..माझं जीवनच बदलून गेलं.. आणि नवी दिशा.. नवी ध्येय.. आणि नवा जन्म या गोष्टीचा आनंद मी पुर्ण घ्यायला लागलो..
या वर्षी माझं पत्रकारितेचे दोन वर्षे पुर्ण झालीत.. मला विद्यापीठाची पदव्युत्तर पदवी मिळाली.. आता मी पत्रकारिता क्षेत्रात अगदी आनंदाने काम करू लागलोय..

हेतू असा होता की आयुष्यात कोणतेही क्षेत्र निवडा त्यात स्वतःला झोकून देऊन काम केलं पाहिजे.. आणि माझं तेच चूकलं.. मी भ्रमात राहिलो.. की होईल सगळं ठिक. लागेल आपल्याला नोकरी.. परंतु त्यासाठी मेहनत ही तशी घ्यावी लागते.. अभ्यासही तितकाच करावा लागतो.. हे पण वेळेवर समजलं नाही. मुळात स्पर्धा परीक्षा करण्याअगोदर स्वतः ची क्षमता ओळखायला हवी..त्या परीक्षेविषयीचं वास्तव समजायला हवं.. पुढे येणाऱ्या अडथळ्यांंचा विचार करायला हवा.. आपण कुठे पर्यंत अभ्यास करावा आणि कुठे थांबा घ्यावा याचा अगोदरच विचार करून ठेवायला हवा.. हे करीत असतांना बी. फ्लाँन करून ठेवायला हवा.. जसं की मी पत्रकारिता हे मागच्या बाजूला विचार करून ठेवलं होतं.. अर्थशास्त्राच्या दुसऱ्या वर्षाला मी याचा विचार करून ठेवला होता.. जर पुढच्या वर्षी मी राज्यसेवा किंवा इतर कोणतेही परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण झालो नाही तर मी पुढे जाऊन पत्रकारिता करणार. याचा विचार मी अगोदर केला होता.. आणि ठराविक वेळेला मी स्पर्धा परीक्षेचा अभ्यास थांबवला. आणि पत्रकारिता या क्षेत्रात वळलो.. म्हणून जेव्हा केव्हा स्पर्धा परीक्षेची सुरुवात कराल तेव्हा जर पुढे आपण या परीक्षेत यशस्वी झालो नाही तर काय करणार याचा विचार पुढे कामी येतो.. त्यावेळी आपण सोडून दिलेली स्पर्धा परीक्षाविषयीचं दुखं काहीच वाटत नाही..

आज सद्या स्पर्धा परीक्षाविषयी काय चाललंय हे सगळ्यांनाच माहिती आहे.. स्पर्धा परीक्षा मधील भरती प्रक्रिया , जागा, आरक्षण, नियुक्ती, याची अनिश्चितता आता लक्षात येत आहे.. ज्या मुलांना पाच ते सहा वर्षे अभ्यास करून सुद्धा पुर्व परीक्षा पास करता आली नाही. त्यांनी वाढत्या वयाचा आणि आपल्या क्षमतेचा विचार करायला हवा.. आत्मचिंतन करायला हवे.. मी तर सांगतो की त्यांनी या परीस्थितीत सुद्धा माघारी परतायाला काही हरकत नाही.. याचे अनेक उदाहरण देता येईल.. केवळ भावनांच्या आहारी जाऊन अजून दोन वर्ष स्पर्धा परीक्षा करतोय आणि मग निर्णय घेईन. असा दुबळा विचार करायचा सोडून द्यावे..कोण काय म्हणेल याचा विचार करत बसायचा नाही.. मी चार ते पाच वर्षे अभ्यास केला आणि स्पर्धा परीक्षा सोडून दिली.. याबद्दल अनेकांनी मला स्पर्धा परीक्षेचा अभ्यास सोडू नकोस, तु हुशार आहेस, तु पुढची परीक्षा पास होशील अशी आशा मनात निर्माण केली. परंतु मी स्वतःच्या क्षमता ओळखून स्पर्धा परीक्षा सोडली.. याबद्दल मला काहीच वाईट वाटलं नाही.. आणि वाटून पण घ्यायचं नाही, कारण अजून किती दिवस आपण स्पर्धा परीक्षा करीत बसायचं. वय निघून चाललंय, घरचे पण किती दिवस आपल्याला सहन करणार, आपल्या सोबतीची लग्न होऊन गेलेत, त्यांनी गाड्या घेतल्यात ,संसार थाटला, आता सुखाचा ते संसार करीत आहे. आपला कधी होणार.. आपण जीवनाचा आनंद केव्हा घेणार..वय निघून गेल्यावर काहीच करता येत नाही.. म्हणून अजूनही वेळ निघून गेली नाही आहे.. आपल्या हातात अजून काही तरी करण्यासारखं उरलेलं आहे.. आपल्याला काय येतं.. पुढे काय करता येईल.. आपल्यामध्ये कोणती कलाकौशल्य आहेत.. पुढे जाऊन आपल्याला समाधान कोणत्या गोष्टीत मिळेल.. याचा विचार करून आपण दुसरा मार्ग निवडू शकतो… नाही तर अजून स्पर्धा परीक्षा करीत बसू.. आणि त्यात यश न आल्याने..व वयाबरोबर वेळ निघून गेल्याने काहीच करता येणार नाही.. मग आपल्याला कुठे तरी रोजंदारीवर काम करून आयुष्य खर्ची घालावावं लागेल. म्हणून अजून वेळ हातात आहे. स्वतःच्या क्षमता ओळखा.. कुठे थांबायचं ते ठरवा..आणि जीवनात आनंदी रहा..
