महाराष्ट्रा नवनिर्माण सेनेचे म्हणजेच मनसे (MNS) चे अध्यक्ष राज ठाकरे ( RAJ THAKERAY) यांचा आज वाढदिवस Birthday आहे. वाढदिवसाच्या निमित्ताने त्यांना प्रत्येक क्षेत्रातून शुभेच्छा दिल्या जात आहेत. परंतु कोरोनाची परिस्थिती पाहता यंदाही त्यांनी वाढदिवस साजरा न करण्याचा निर्णय घेत ‘आपण या ही वर्षी वाढदिवस करणार नाही आहोत.’ असा निर्णय ट्विटर वरुन जनतेला कळवला. त्यांनी जरी वाढदिवस साजरा न करण्याच ठरवल असल तरी उत्साही कार्यकर्त्यांनी ‘कृष्णकुंज’ या त्यांच्या निवासस्थानी जात फाटकावर फुलांची सजावट केली. यावर्षी राज यांच्या वाढदिवसानिमित्त परळ येथील वाडिया हॉस्पिटलमध्ये मोफत कोविडशिल्ड ही लस दिली जाईल, त्यासाठी होणारा खर्च हा मनसे पक्ष उचलणार आहे.
कृष्णकुंज वर यावर्षी अजिबात गर्दी झालेली पाहायला मिळत नाहीए . दरवर्षी राजकारणी, समाजकारणी ,कला क्षेत्रातील मान्यवर कृष्णकुंज वर उपस्थित असलेले पहायला मिळतात, राज ठाकरे यांचे प्रत्येक क्षेत्रातील संबंध यावरुन लक्षात येतात. ते स्वतः राजकारणी असले तरीही त्यांचे स्नेहबंध कलाक्षेत्र आणि विविध समाजवादी क्षेत्रांत हमखास पहायला मिळतात. त्यांना स्वतःदेखिल संगित, कला, वक्तृत्व आणि चित्रपट क्षेत्राची आवड आहे.
राज ठाकरे यांना आपण ‘राज’ या नावाने ओळखत असलो तरीही त्यांचे खरे नाव ‘स्वरराज’ असे आहे. त्यांचा जन्म 14 जून रोजी 1968 साली झाला. राज ठाकरे हे जन्मताच कला क्षेत्राशी नाळ जोडुन जन्माला आलेले, त्यांचे वडील श्रीकांत ठाकरे हे संगीतकार, पत्रकार, लेखक आणि व्यंगचित्रकार त्यामुळे राज ठाकरे यांना कला क्षेत्र काही वेगळे नाही . श्रीकांत ठाकरे आणि बाळ ठाकरे या बंधुंना सुद्धा वडील प्रबोधनकार केशव सीताराम ठाकरे यांचा वारसा लाभला. बाळासाहेब ठाकरे Balasaheb Thackeray आणि श्रीकांत ठाकरे यांचा राज साहेबांना अधिक सहवास लाभला , त्यामुळे व्यंगचित्र आणि राजकीय क्षेत्रातील ज्ञान त्यांना जास्त प्रमाणात लाभले. बरीच वर्षे शिवसेनेत काम केल्यानंतर त्यांनी 9 मार्च 2006 रोजी महाराष्ट्र नवनिर्माण सेना नावाचा पक्ष काढला. राज साहेबांना पहिल्या इनिंग मध्येच मोठे यश प्राप्त झाले, मनसेचे 14 आमदार पहिल्या हातीच निवडुन आले. या यशा नंतर महाराष्ट्रात राज ठाकरे साहेब आणि पक्षाची दखल घेतली जाऊ लागली. परंतु नंतरच्या काळात पक्षाला उतरती कळा लागली , पक्षाला आपल यश टिकवता आलं नाही ते इतक्या प्रमाणात की आता महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा निवडणुकीत मनसेचा फक्त एक च आमदार उरला आहे. मुंबईच्या महापालिकेत ही मनसेला आपल स्थान निर्माण करता आलं नाही.
राज ठाकरे यांच्या वैयक्तिक आयुष्याकडे पाहता ते कलेच्या क्षेत्रात विशेष लक्ष घालतात, त्यांना चित्रपट पाहण्याची विशेष आवड आहे , एका मुलाखतीमध्ये त्यांनी सांगितलं होतं की ते दररोज एकतरी चित्रपट पाहतात. चित्रपट क्षेत्रामध्ये त्यांचे कित्येक स्नेही आहेत जसे की आपण जाणतो केदार शिंदे , अजय-अतुल अशी बरीचशी नावे पुढे येतील ज्यांच्याशी राज साहेबांचे घरोब्याचे संबंध आहेत. राज यांनी मुंबई मधील सर जे. जे काँलेज आँफ आर्ट येथून शिक्षण पूर्ण केल. ते स्वतः एक उत्कृष्ट असे व्यंगचित्रकार आहेत.
